What is the
difference between disposable diapers & cloth diapers?
Everyone knows the benefits of disposable diapers. However,
the disadvantages of using disposable diapers is that it is more expensive, bad
breathability, uncomfortable for baby, can cause dermatitis, not environmental
friendly and not re-usable. Cloth diapers have better breathability, reusable
with washing, no chemicals, and longer usage time with button / tape designs
and save you money.
Will my baby feel dry
wearing the cloth diaper made of micro fleece lining?
Yes. Micro fleece has the ability to let the moisture pass
through the insert with the fleece itself being dry. Solid waste will roll out
the fleece easily and can be washed easily.
Do I need to soak the
diaper a few hours before washing? Any special care needed?
No you don't have to. You can give it a bit scrub with soap,
and then leave and wash it when you are ready. It doesn't need to be wash
immediately. You can collect all the used diaper for the day, soak with clean
water and wash it at night or the next morning in the washing machine or hand
wash. Do not dry the pocket diapers directly under sunlight as it will damage
the PUL fabric. Hang dry the pocket diapers in your corridor or balcony (avoid
direct sunlight) as they will dry easily. Hang dry inserts directly under
sunlight as they are thicker and more difficult to become dry.
Can I put extra
insert on the pocket diaper to be more absorbent?
Yes, you can. That's the beauty of Pocket diaper. You can customize
the inserts. If your baby is a heavy wetter, then you can use the two inserts
for night. Or else, the regular inserts made out of microfiber is sufficient
for the day. However, it's not advisable to do so as when you put 2 inserts at
the same time, the diaper will become too thick and it may have leakage. It
will be too bulky and make baby feel uncomfortable.
For night use, how
long it can last?
It should last you for 10-12 hours without change, with 2-3
inserts. Comparatively, it should be equivalent to one Mamy
Poko disposable diaper. You will need to change the
baby in the morning. However, if your baby does wake up in the mid night to
drink milk, you may change the inserts for your baby in order to make your baby
feel more comfortable rather than putting 2-3 inserts at the same time.
How long can the
diaper last?
If you follow the wash and care instruction, it should last
you more than 1 child and can be passed down.
